Not to be of the world means remaining aware, not identifying with the daily drama, paying attention to what the external world is triggering within us, and understanding our lessons.
It's not a binary choice that we face. We've been left in the world, but we've been left to live in it in a way that is not of the world. They're not mutually exclusive. We can do them both.
