The price for it seems pretty decent and it is in fabulous shape. I went out and did some shooting with it and it fits nice and feels good against my shoulder.Redfield made one specifically for the 37 Ithica #551001, which was designed to deal with the recoil. Sadly they are no longer marketed, and used ones are far and few between. I believe Ithica used this mount as a factory option at one time on the Deerslayer. I had some heavy duty 11mm airgun scope rings that fit. It worked out pretty good.

Because of the way the barrel mates with the end of the mag tube, longer magazines aren't really practical so the SOS was a pistol grip version with the barrel cut off even with the end of the mag tube.
